Presentation at the British Association of Surgery of the Knee
Mr Santini and his team were delighted to be able to present at BASK’s (British Association of Surgery of the Knee) annual scientific meeting in Telford this month.
The work carried out by Mr Santini and his research team revolved around the procedure where knee replacements were carried out with an all polyethylene tibial base and the longevity of their success.
Of the 708 total knee replacements trialled results show 97.4% 7 year survival for of the tibial base with regard to aseptic loosening; and 99.2% survival with regard to loosening of the tibia itself.
These completed studies go a long way toward the development of new techniques as orthopaedic consultants strive to provide the highest quality outcome for their patients.
