Mr Santini invited to attend recent BASK and EKS meeting
Mr Santini was recently invited to attend a joint meeting in London organised by BASK and EKS (British Association for Surgery for the Knee & European Knee Society).
The meeting was for invited experts to debate issues regarding three aspects of orthopaedic surgery.
- revision knee surgery
- unicompartmental knee surgery
- patella-femoral joint replacement
The debate was around when the operations should be done, which hospitals they should be done in and which surgeons should undertake them. The results will be published shortly in a series of recommendation papers.
Mr Santini explained of the event, "Great to be involved in such good company, the debate was extremely interactive with each surgeon voting to gain a consensus outcome. We achieved this and the event was a huge success."
